As an ACE certified fitness and creator of Millions of Muscles, I have focused the last 7 years to living a healthy lifestyle and teaching that to others. Along with being a personal trainer and group instructor, I recently worked as a Fitness Director of a growing downtown Boston gym where I managed the personal training department.

Growing up in a household that didn’t hold back from treats and sweets, I never learned about the importance of food and exercise. It wasn’t until I had my children, Jaden and Quincy, then to lose my father to heart disease, did I realize that I had a responsibility as a M.O.M to be the happiest and healthiest that I could be.

I am very passionate about getting the word out to other families and individuals about the positive effects of healthy eating and moving your bodies.

Being a part of my team will give you the opportunity to personally work with me to develop a plan for your life. I promise to be a dedicated and available coach for your fitness needs. I am proud to say that Millions of Muscles is growing to include more bootcamp trainers in MA, which enhances the dynamic of our MoM family.

Abigail Shaughnessy
Abby HeadshotMy fitness journey started in the fall of 2010. I had just graduated from Boston College, passed my nursing boards and got a new job. I was beginning to realize that I had put my health and wellness on the back burner for far too long. It wasn’t until my mother introduced me to a bootcamp class that I realized how badly I needed to change my life and the way I lived. I could barely get through the warmup of a class without getting nauseous or winded-so when the opportunity to participate in a fitness competition hosted by Millions of Muscles came up, I took it! I lost a considerable amount of weight, and gained the confidence and a support system I needed to make true, healthy, lifestyle changes.

Abby Millions of MusclesWorking as a registered nurse with a large youth population, I was shocked to see the amount of youth who did not include physical activity into their daily routines. I became interested in researching fitness programs for children and eventually started a youth fitness class with Millions of Muscles. After receiving my ACE certification, I continued my professional growth and began teaching adult group fitness and small group training. I soon learned that a person’s results are not just what happens in class; it’s answering questions about groceries, healthy lifestyle choices and also being a support system for the client during their transformation journey. Although being a trainer is my profession, the passion I have for empowering others to make positive changes for themselves is really what keeps me doing what I love.

Pamela Sargent
Pam Sargent - Millions of Muscles TrainerI have been a part of the Millions of Muscles family since 2011, but it wasn’t until this past year that I came on board as a personal trainer. Growing up I was a gymnast, and in high school I played basketball, field hockey, and ran on the track team. Being active has always been a part of my lifestyle, and I have to admit that I am pretty competitive. After working out with Jodi and attending her bootcamp classes for over two years, I was amazed at how strong I had become.

In July, I decided to take my fitness journey to a whole different level when I asked Jodi to help me train for a Bikini Model competition. After months of grueling training and a strict nutrition plan, I took home fifth place. I will never forget how it felt to drop pounds, inches and body fat in such a short period of time. I would look in the mirror and think “I can’t believe this is my body.” It was so amazing to see such dramatic results.

It is an amazing feeling to be able to make a difference in someone’s life, and I truly mean it when I say that I love coming to work at Millions of Muscles. I am so blessed to have found such an amazing fitness family (which is growing by the day), and I would recommend this program to anyone who is ready to take a step in the right direction and change their life through exercise and proper nutrition. I have truly found my passion, and I would love to share everything I have learned with you!

Leanne Stamatopoulos
I have always loved sports and fitness. I had danced and played organize sports since I was young. As I got older, I especially enjoyed soccer and track and field.  When I started college, my future husband, introduced me to the gym and weight lifting.  It was also during this time I found my kickboxing obsession. I love kickboxing! Being fit and eating clean has been something my husband and I always enjoyed doing together.  We now have three children and we encourage healthy lifestyle habits in our home. We love any chance we have to get out and be active with them. They are our world!

Leanne KickboxingAfter having my third child, I was searching for a new workout that was going to challenge me and keep me motivated.  That’s how I found Millions of Muscles in January 2012 & it was exactly what I needed. I joined expecting fun, different and tough workouts. What I gained was exactly that and more importantly, an outstanding support system. With Jodi’s encouragement and the support of our fitness family, I found the courage and motivation to become a cardio kickboxing instructor. It’s truly a passion of mine. My love affair with kickboxing started more than ten years ago. There is no other workout that I found that can make you sweat like this. I have been instructing since February 2013 for MoM.

This has been an amazing journey. Literally, there have been some amazing journeys with some remarkable (and strong) people I met here. Some of us here are hooked on obstacle races. I have completed two Tough Mudders, two Spartan Races and one Spartan Beast and I am not done! I can’t wait to sign up for my next one.

Jamie Faro

Having served as strength and conditioning coach for the past seven years, I understand the importance of fitness and training required to reach one’s athletic goals.  Training for a specific athletic goal can be easier than training for life and one’s own general health and fitness goals.  I enjoy helping people train for life and step outside their comfort zone, pushing themselves beyond what they thought they were capable of.  I believe in both the trainer and client bringing focus and energy to each session, which will allow clients to raise their intensity level each time.

My motivation comes from seeing people get stronger and fitter at any given exercise and/or workout.  The moment you realize that you surpassed what you were able to do on the last rep, set or workout is when you see the possibilities are endless!  If you want to not just survive, but THRIVE in one of most challenging, yet friendly and welcoming workout atmospheres around, MOM is the place to be!

Favorite Exercise: Any single leg movement (double the fun!)
Motivation: Seeing progress made in weights/time through increased strength and conditioning levels.
Favorite Words of Wisdom: If it was easy everyone would do it.
