Body Transformation Testimonials
I was introduced to MOM 6 weeks ago for the hunger games challenge. I have a couple of friends that have been telling me to join for months, but when I heard the word “boot camp” it made me nervous and I kept making excuses to not join. I was nervous about what to expect, and was nervous about failing. But now I can say that my only regret was not joining sooner. My biggest problem has always been motivation and diet, and I just couldn’t get excited or motivated to work out. I now find myself planning my day around my school schedule first and then around boot camp. Before, fitting working out into my schedule was last. The trainers at MOM are unlike anything I have experienced, I have tried personal trainers, the gym, and miracle “diets” and nothing stuck. The trainers are always there to answer questions and to help you with any concerns. They support you and offer the sincerest interest in your journey. The fellow boot campers are always willing to help each other out too. People are constantly sharing recipes that they enjoy and all kinds of other tips. My diet has changed in so many ways and I learned so much about my diet just from these 6 weeks! I’ve eaten things I never knew existed (i.e. Kale, protein cookies, and green smoothies) And I’ve done things to work out that I would never even dream of before, such as waking up early to work out at 6am. At our 3 week check in I was down 6 lbs. from my original weigh in! On our final day I was down 15 lbs. in 6 weeks! I’m eager to see how much more my body will do and how much more I have to learn.
I have been heavy my whole life and like most people, I always found comfort in food, when you’re happy EAT, when you’re sad EAT, when you’re nervous EAT. I was living to eat and With MOM I have learned to how to eat to live and most of all I enjoy working out. – Silvia H. February 2013

My entire life I have been overweight but, it was never a question of getting enough exercise. Since I was young I have been exercising regularly. My mother always kept me active in different sports. As I got older I was a member at multiple gyms and actually stuck with exercising regularly. I would exercise 4-5 times a week routinely my weight would go down but not by much. Lots of exercising was not very successful for me because I wasn’t making healthy food choices. Most of the time I would eat unhealthy and say I will start up my diet again on Monday. My weight would constantly go up and down. It also didn’t help I grew up in a household surrounded by mostly unhealthy foods and meals. The longest I have committed to healthy eating is about a month.
It wasn’t until I was pregnant that I had completely stopped exercising and I ate whatever I wanted. After my son was born there is no doubt that I was the heaviest I have ever been in my entire life. I started Zumba a few months after my son was born because I knew that my weight was extremely dangerous for my health. I quickly started to lose weight and received some support and ideas on healthy eating. After about one year, the Zumba studio shut down. The location and times were so convenient for me with school, full time work, and being a mom.
I started to take classes at other Zumba studios at least once or twice a week and it just wasn’t the same. Around this time I heard about Millions of Muscles and heard and saw only but great things. I would ask my friend questions about the bootcamp all the time but continue to hold off from signing up. I don’t know what I was so scared of. Being healthy doesn’t sound so frightening. I finally decided it’s time to join. No more excuses! It was time to lose weight and completely change my lifestyle! There was nothing that was going to stop me this time. I knew I needed to lose weight and change my eating habits to be a great role model for my son. My son is my everything and I need to be around many years to watch him grow.
After my first bootcamp I never wanted to go back. I never in my life had done a workout that intense. Before I knew it I had made it through my first week of bootcamp and I was so proud of myself and immediately addicted. It has now been four months since I have joined and I have only but great results. I have gained so much strength since beginning and can now do exercises I wasn’t able to do at all when I first started . I am now able to do 4-5 bootcamps a week even doubles at times. I have made lots of new friends and reconnected with a few old friends. Most importantly I have completely changed my lifestyle.
I exercise regularly and I am conquering my biggest challenge: eating healthy. I am eating foods I never knew existed or I would like kale, almond mil and green smoothies. I still struggle at times with healthy eating but the amount of support I receive from my family, the trainers, and fellow campers is unbelievable. I have lost over 30 pounds, and lots of inches since I have joined Millions of Muscles. I feel great! Joining millions of muscles was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I would like to give a special thank you to Jodi Reath. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so unbelievable! You have helped me change my life for the better. – Crystal C. Growing up the youngest of five with all athletic siblings, being the most uncoordinated and (to be blunt) fattest, I was constantly dieting. Most of high school was spent going from one fad diet to another, some of them worked (for a short time) – most didn’t. It wasn’t until a few years back that I finally woke up and decided to make a permanent change in my life. From that point forward, I decided to get it together and start living a healthier life. Over the following six months I lost just about 60 pounds. I was feeling great, I made healthy changes in my diet and I was seeing the results. Over the next few years I continued to slowly drop more weight just by fairly healthy eating and with very minimal exercise. I just couldn’t find a fitness program that worked for me. I signed up to a multitude of gyms, tried several fitness classes, and even at home workout videos nothing stuck.
Finally I found Millions of Muscles, and it changed my life. Since signing up a little over a year ago, I lost an additional 30 pounds, bringing my weight loss total to right around 100 pounds. But what is more amazing than what I lost is what I gained. I gained a new found love and commitment to fitness that extends beyond dieting and superficial appearance. I can honestly say that I am the strongest and healthiest I have ever been in my life – physically and mentally. With the help of Millions of Muscles I have learned what the healthier choices are, the importance of clean eating and how much I am actually capable of. I have done things that I have never even thought possible (I am now a Tough Mudder!! – Google it).
I can go on and on about what Millions of Muscles has done for me and sing endless praise for Jodi and company but in the end I’ve made this life-altering transformation on my own. I made the commitment. I made the sacrifices. I made the health choices. I woke up at 5am. I stayed late for Zumba sessions. I changed my own life. And that is exactly what is so remarkable about Millions of Muscles. It gives us the tools we need for success and we choose use them. There are people from all walks of life at Millions of Muscles – in all different levels of fitness, and that’s what makes it a great place to be. There is no one judging you when you need to drop to your knees to get through some push ups or have to modify a side plank, there are just people there to push you and support you along the way.
It doesn’t matter if, like me, you find Millions of Muscles when you’re midway through your fitness journey or if you’re just starting out, the trainers are here for you. You’ll learn innovated workouts and ways to modify exercise so that they are more suited to your own level of fitness on any given day. You’ll learn of a whole new world of healthy eating choices that you’ll wonder how you ever lived without them.
After being with Millions of Muscles for over a year now, I can say without a doubt that there is no other place I would rather be. I am grateful for all that MoM has done for me and I know that I would never have accomplished what I have if it was not for the guidance and support that I received from not only Jodi and the other fantastic trainers but from every MoM member. I consider myself lucky to be part of the group of kind and genuine individuals that make up the Millions of Muscles family. - Louis P. January 2013

This time last year I was chugging all the pumpkin beer I could get my hands & scarfing down pies because I thought that’s what enjoying fall is all about. This year I’m involved with Millions of Muscles and the Hunger Games Transformation Challenge and things couldn’t be more different. I’m up before the sun, working out with a pumpkin (!), drinking pumpkin green smoothies and making “Apple Cinnamon Tofu Bake” instead of other highly caloric fall sweets. I’m super excited for the upcoming Thanksgiving/Christmas season because I know this year will be different thanks to M.o.M.
M.o.M has given me so much more than just a workout. I have a new perspective on health, wellness, food and exercise. I remember, very clearly, my first bootcamp. I couldn’t do even one sit up, I had no strength, and Jodi just kept telling me to hang in there, that over time I would get stronger and would be able to do more and more. I doubted that very much but the encouragement from all the trainers and my fellow bootcampers kept me coming back. I also noticed, and was intrigued by, how different each and every workout was. Jodi and the trainers take a lot of time to plan fun & interesting workouts so that every bootcamp is different & you’re not bored. Some days it honestly doesn’t even feel like exercise, it just feels like you’re having fun with friends. So I kept showing up and not only did I gain strength but I gained confidence and I actually discovered something about myself that shocked me – I like exercise! Now I find myself eager to learn and work on things like balance, core muscles, aspects of exercise I had never even thought about!
Programs & gyms I had tried before had conditioned me to think only of health as weight loss (“Lean Cuisines” & “Diet Coke”, etc.) & since that had never worked out for me, I was determined to broaden my horizons. I had just becoming familiar with Whole Foods and clean eating when I first sign up for M.o.M & was overjoyed to learn that they encourage just that! It was a perfect fit & I’m so grateful that it continues to be!
After 8 months I am the strongest I’ve ever been in my entire life and I amaze myself every day. The biggest change in my life since joining M.o.M is that I’ve become consistent with exercise, for the first time in my life!!! I have watched my body change in so many ways – my legs are so toned and I can see muscles I never even knew I had! My arms are the newest change I’m noticing. I always hated to bare my arms and now I’m seeing them change before my very eyes and it’s fantastic.
If there hadn’t been someone, whether it be Jodi, Sean, Dominque or Jane, cheering me on and telling me that I was doing well and would continue to do even better, I don’t know that I’d be where I am today. I owe them millions of thanks!! The bottom line is, Millions of Muscles is like no other fitness/nutrition program I’ve ever encountered & I intend to be a bootcamper for life! - Colleen Q. I’ve always struggled with my weight, fluctuating up and down. I was your typical “yo-yo” dieter. I’d pick a diet or starve myself and work out like an animal at the gym for a couple of months. I’d lose 5-10 pounds and then lose interest and return to my “normal” eating habits and less frequent gym visits. At the age of 34, I was pregnant with my daughter and had stopped any and all workouts and diet plans. I gained 35 pounds. Just before my daughter’s first birthday, I was overwhelmed by the fact that I still needed to lose 20 pounds, just to get back to my “pre-baby” weight. I had zero energy and lacked the motivation to do anything about it. I kept using the excuse that I had “just had a baby.” Really? She was a year old! Time to make a change!
I had heard of Millions of Muscles through Facebook. The idea of working out with a group of people, on the beach seemed a lot more exciting than the elliptical machine, all alone, at the gym. One day, I found the courage to call and inquire. I was really concerned with the fact that I was SO out of shape and wouldn’t be able to handle the workouts. The trainer that I spoke with was so inviting and reassuring of the fact that there were people of various fitness levels in the group and that there were modifications for all of the exercises to fit individual abilities. I was told that the boot camp group was filled with supportive and encouraging people. They actually made working out seem fun!!
I was really nervous for my first day but so relieved to find that everything that the trainer had told me on the phone was true. Everyone was SO nice!! A couple of the boot campers actually stayed late to talk nutrition and workouts with some of the “newbies.” That first week was really tough. Every part of my body ached with even the smallest movements. What got me through that first week was a combination of the dedicated trainers, available to answer any and all questions and the inspiring stories of the amazing group of people that I would now be working out with on a weekly basis. Thinking about their success stories is part of what motivates me to get out of bed, on those mornings that I would much rather continue sleeping. Another factor contributing to my commitment is the fact that every workout is different. Part of the fun is not knowing what the trainers have in store for us that day.
Here we are, six months later: I am a stronger, healthier and HAPPIER person! I can’t imagine my life without M.o.M. and I am so grateful for the support and nutritional advice that I have received here. – Michelle H. December, 2012

So your probably reading all these testimonials and thinking how great it was for all these people who have lost weight and changed their lives to be more healthy; but your wondering if you can do it too? Well let me tell you… YOU CAN, because I did! I, like everyone else in the world, decided on New Years Eve that I wanted to loose weight this year. So I made an effort to go to the gym a few days a week, I started going to a Zumba class once or twice a week, but it wasn’t enough. I felt like I was working so hard and not getting the results I wanted. Then in the spring my sister and I found this 14 day fat blaster workout on the beach with Millions of Muscles. I remember that grueling first day on the beach… lunges, situps, all different exercises for cardio and strength training and a burpee? What the hell is a burpee?! At the end of it I had sand in places I didn’t know it could get, my muscles ached for days, but the high I got from the trainers, the workout and all the amazing bootcampers was incredible. With Millions of Muscles it wasn’t just a workout, it was a way to change how I saw fitness, health, eating right (not dieting); it was a lifestyle change.
So you want to know the numbers huh? How much did I lose? Well I’ll tell you them but then you have to keep reading, because its not just about the numbers here! Before I started Millions of Muscles I was in a size 16 jeans and I weighed about 180lbs. I tried to be active and have better eating habits but who had time for that?! I was eating late, eating junk, and trying to make myself feel better by going to the gym a few times a week. Then I found M.o.M and I was a changed woman! Right…the numbers! Well 6 months later I’m down to a size 8 and about 160 lbs., but the numbers don’t compare to the way that I feel! I learned how my body works, learned how/what to eat, the trainers guided me through every workout, fellow bootcampers inspire me daily; and now I am the most fit and healthy I’ve ever been in my life! I actually enjoy and look forward every day to getting up, going to workout and pushing myself to new limits.
Joining Millions of Muscles was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself! I see myself in ways I never did before and I’m doing things now that I couldn’t have imagined a year ago. I wish for everyone that joins the success I feel I’ve achieved, so hurry up and try us out! I look forward to doing burpees next to you! (Don’t worry, you’ll learn to love ‘em!)
I LOVE YOU MoM! - Jess C., November 2012

When I joined M.O.M. in May of 2011, I was the heaviest I have ever been in my life and I was barely exercising. I had reached my lowest point and knew I had to make a life change. My sister saw a Signpost deal for a boot camp on the beach and asked me to try it with her. The idea of joining a boot camp was terrifying to me, but she convinced me to do it and I am so glad she did!
I can remember my first class on the beach. It was a Friday night and I had just returned from being away with my 6th graders for a week. I was cranky and exhausted and terrified of going to my first class without my sister. Everybody had already been in class for the week and I was just starting. But I knew I needed to start. No excuses! Jodi made me feel right at home and told me to do the best I could. I could barely do the warm-up run and I had never heard of any of the exercises she asked us to do. Somehow, I made it through my first class. It was such a challenge. I was not willing to give up. I went back the next week and I haven’t stopped!
Every class I got a little stronger and could run a little farther. Every day I felt a little healthier. This is because of Jodi and her constant motivation. She never let me give up and she always pushed me to do more than I ever thought I could.
Now, over a year later, I am healthier than I have been. Working out is no longer a chore. It is something that I look forward to and feel guilty if I don’t. I have achieved more than I ever thought I could. I am in the Advanced class. I ran my first 10K. I eat healthier and feel better. I have lost over 50 pounds and multiple inches. I could have never achieved any of this without the support of Jodi and the M.O.M. family. - Molly D., November 2012

I have always been a member of one gym or another, but never saw any real results. So I tried weight watchers and lost some weight, but the scale suddenly came to a halt. I had been religiously tracking my meals and not losing any weight, even gaining some back. So I decided to take up running and give it some time. While I was stuck on my plateau I noticed my cousin was losing weight and doing lots of fun and crazy things with her Bootcamp. This is when she told me about MoM. After hearing her story, and how impressed she was with the program I decided to give it a try. I was nervous that first day, scared off by the “Bootcamp” name, and expecting to be the only one in the room who wasn’t fit or able to finish the workout. I couldn’t have been more wrong. There were really fit people there, but there were also others like me, and no one was judging.
That first week was a wake up call. I knew I wasn’t in great shape, but I thought I was better off than I really was because of the running – I was wrong. It was hard, I was sore, but I stuck with it and I’m glad I did. It didn’t take long to notice the improvements I was making. I was able to do more of the workouts with fewer modifications, I started to feel stronger, started eating better and my running improved. Then the best thing happened – people started asking me what I was doing because they could see the results.
I am happy to tell everyone about MoM. I can’t say enough about the program and the trainers. Someone is always available to answer questions, offer advice, and look over your food log – anything you need. On top of that the other members are so supportive – it really is a family. I recently had to miss 9 weeks due to a non-MoM related injury and it was terrible. I couldn’t work out, my diet suffered, I started to gain so Jodi set aside time to meet with me and help me with my diet. She really does care about the members and it shows.
Since I first joined MoM I have finished a Warrior Dash, 2 half marathons, and a triathlon and am currently training for a full marathon. These are all things I never thought I would, or even could, do, and I wouldn’t have done them without MoM.
Thanks Millions of Muscles for making me smaller, stronger and happier! - Stacey W., November 2012
Update: I have been at MoM for over a year now and every day I am still amazed by everything the program has to offer. The trainers are like no other, they go ABOVE and BEYOND in every aspect. Whether its nutrition, workouts, a listening ear, or creating scavenger hunts in the woods of Breakheart on a Sunday morning the dedication they have is like no other.
The limits I have been pushed and the things I have accomplished are unimaginable. In this year I have completed numerous 5k’s, worked out with Shaun T (yes hot Shaun T from Insanity), completed a warrior dash and a diva dash (tutu and all), made it into advanced boot camp, and am now training to run a ½ marathon in the beginning of 2013.
When I started this program walking up the stairs made me out of breath. Along with becoming stronger I also lost almost 50 pounds, (45 to be exact) numerous inches, and got my body fat down a ton. It is so nice to hear from old friends, family, and new friends how much my new lifestyle inspires others. I inspire someone? The people at boot camp are amazing.
The support you get from other boot camper’s everyday helps so much. If you are ever feeling down, there is someone right there to help pull you back up. I have made life long friends here. before would I imagine people would be asking me for help, or thanking me for helping them with eating right or helping guide them into joining the program. The old me wasn’t really happy. (Although, I am sure I laughed and smiled)The NEW me is extremely happy and I am told the smile on my face can light up a room! Thank you MoM for helping me live my new life healthier, smaller, and HAPPIER. - Jaclyn C., November 2012

The first day I tried out MoM I thought I was going to die! It was the toughest workout I have ever done, but probably the best workout I have ever done! I was immediately hooked to how great I felt after every boot camp.
When I had told my husband I wanted to sign up for the year he was reluctant, mainly because I’m a giant quitter! I tried every diet plan there is (weight watchers, Atkins, south beach, Nutri-system, SlimFast, etc.) and every way of working out (gym memberships, Curves, personal training, boxing classes) and never stick with anything for very long at all, never mind a year! Once he saw how persistent I was with going and how much I couldn’t stop talking about it at home he knew as much as I did that I found the right fit! I never enjoyed working out. It was always more of a chore that had to be done a certain amount of times a week.
Now I love to work out and hate when I have to miss a class! I’ve met so many great new people and reconnecting with so many old friends that have really helped keep me on track and motivated me to do my best! The amount of support you get from the trainers at MoM and fellow boot campers is nothing like anywhere else.
I am definitely someone who constantly has questions and needs advice on changing my diet and I ALWAYS have someone I can ask which is great! Health has become an important issue with me ever since I was pregnant and was told I had gestational diabetes. That puts me at a higher risk of getting diabetes later in life. I will not let that happen! I have changed my entire lifestyle since joining MoM.
The way I ate before and the way I eat now is completely different. I even gave up diet soda which was something I literally drank liters of every day! My little girl is totally my motivation to changing my lifestyle. I don’t want her growing up wanting fast food, candy & soda; and that means I can’t be having it either.
I honestly can’t say enough great things about MoM. It’s changed my life for the better and for that I am totally grateful for everyone there. - Noelle Holley, November 2012

I have always struggled with my weight. I was never really overweight or really fit; I always teetered in the middle. Throughout my life I was constantly on a diet and watching what I ate. When I got engaged, I decided I was determined to feel comfortable on my wedding day. I knew that I would be the center of attention (whether I liked it or not) and I wanted to be confident and comfortable in my own skin. I was resolute on being able to enjoy the day instead of worrying about sucking my stomach in or what angle the picture was being taken. A good friend suggested I try, Millions of Muscles. There was a Groupon so I figured why not; I can only do the elliptical at the local gym for so long.
I was petrified my first day. I thought I would be surrounded by “perfect’ fit’ people” that would judge me when I couldn’t run fast or do a push-up, or even worse a room filled with crazy health nuts. I was mentally prepared to feel bad about myself when I compared myself to the other campers, but I couldn’t have been more wrong!
Everyone was so nice, welcoming and encouraging. Don’t get me wrong, I was jealous looking around at the “perfect ‘fit’ people” but when they shared their story about how they started and how far they have come, it gave me hope. There were plenty of people like me, not extremely athletic but hoping to get stronger and lose a few pounds.
I did what the trainers told me even though I complained and whined the whole time. I challenged myself physically and mentally. The hardest challenge was not to give up and succumb to the voice that says, “You’re tired, you’re sore, you can’t do it”.
I have been at M.o.M for six months and I can tell you that I have totally changed. Physically I am stronger, thinner and toned but mentally I know I can do anything with the proper tools, determination and support. During my time at M.o.M, I was called “thin” and “skinny” for the first time in a LONG time and for the first time in my life, I was also told that I looked “fit”. To me that means more than any number on a scale.
I can’t say enough about the trainers at M.o.M or the campers. They truly provide you with the knowledge, tools and support you need not only to make the short term weight loss goals but for long-term change. Every day is still a weight struggle but I feel better prepared to handle it.
Thanks M.o.M for changing my life and for putting up with my whining!!!

I joined Millions of Muscles in May of 2011 and I have lost 15 lbs to this point. It’s been a slower journey for me than some and perhaps I was too stubborn in the beginning (that is what Jodi may call it!) but it’s not just weight loss; I have changed the way I live my life, permanently, and that is worth the wait for me.
For most of my adult life I have had a bad relationship with food. I was an emotional overeater and when the guilt became too much from making the wrong decisions the needle tipped drastically the other way and I severely restricted calories. Sure, I tried various diets and each time I thought I was making a positive step forward. But never, until I joined M.o.M, did I ever consider completely changing how I eat and throw the word “diet” out the window. Jodi is a wealth of nutrition information and I started by focusing on just one piece of her advice – giving up soda. Within months my crippling migraines stopped. From there I very gradually moved away from processed foods and replaced them with fruits, veggies, grains and lean protein. Today my food intake it primarily plant based and I enjoy so many wonderful things that I had never even tried previously like beets, kale, quinoa, and dates to name a few! If you had told me 2 years ago that my weekly grocery haul would be mostly vegetables with not a Lean Cuisine, Diet Pepsi or Kraft Mac & Cheese in sight, I would have laughed. I can never thank Jodi enough for starting me on the path to better nutrition; I truly believe it will add quality years to my life.
This is however a boot camp program so I would be remiss if I talked only about food. The exercise program has been a real eye-opener for me. I have always belonged to a gym; I was the 3 times a week 30-40 minutes of treadmill running type of girl. And for most of my 20’s that was enough until somewhere around age 30 I started having knee pain and the running changed to walking. So initially boot camp was something I decided “to just give a try” because I put on weight once the running stopped. Needless to say, it turned out to be a very good decision. The exercises we do in class are things I have never done before and certainly would never do in the gym by myself. I am significantly stronger and actually feel like an athlete some days!! To my surprise about 6 months into boot camp I realized that my knee was strong enough to allow for some running again. A true testament to how every part of my body, including my weak knee, is stronger now.
I am a few pounds from the lowest weight I have ever been in my adult life. But this will be the first time I get there the right way. At 35 years old, I am healthier – physically and mentally – than any other point in my life and I know the M.o.M program is a big part of that. The journey is not always perfect and for me stress and anxiety can allow poor habits to try to creep back in. But the difference is I now have the tools, confidence and a wonderful support system from the trainers and my fellow campers to stay strong, focused and on track. With every day that goes by the changes I have made really do become my normal way of life, a much healthier life. - Donna Sears, October 2012

When I first heard about M.O.M last year in September I was very interested in joining but was scared I was going to take on too much with a busy semester ahead. I wasn’t overweight but I had poor eating habits and my weight went up and down like a yoyo. A few months later and a couple of pounds packed on from the crazy college semester no time to work out and the holidays, I had hit a plateau not only in weight, but mentally. I no longer was seeing real results from what I was doing at the gym and the pounds I had put on over the holidays refused to budge.
So I decided that I would try out M.O.M for three weeks and it was the best decision I ever made. The first weeks were tough I could barely even do a burpee to save my life. My diet consisted of candy and coffee all day . I hated vegetables and skipped meals and ate fast food often. After the first week I was overwhelmed with the changes I knew I needed to make in my diet for me and for my family as well. I was extremely sore but the other boot campers and instructors were so supportive and welcoming that I kept at it and immediately I started seeing how much I had progressed. The second week I wasn’t as sore, but the workouts were still really tough, I could barely do a push up or had to do it on my knees and could only handle about 5-6 pound free weights for an entire session.
Almost six months later I eat a clean diet on a regular basis, have lost over 10 lbs as well a a ton of inches, can do over a 1000 real pushups, in sets of course, have dominated the Dominator, started advanced Bootcamp and am about to run my first half marathon this fall but that’s not all. I am committed to a healthy way of life, gained so much strength mentally as well as physically, have more confidence in myself in addition to some very supportive great individuals in my life who inspire me to continue everyday. Thank You M.O.M for pushing me and believing in each one of your tribe Members the way you do!

Confidence and happiness. These are just two of the things I have found since joining the MoM family (besides muscles of course!). I don’t have a very complicated story of why I gained weight. I was a senior in college… I ate like crap, drank like a fish, and was usually too lazy to get to the gym. All of this considered, it’s clear why I put on over 30 pounds. I was unhappy, frustrated, and miserable. However, I realized I couldn’t put the blame on anyone else…at some point, you need to stop making excuses.
My first week at bootcamp was a serious eye opener. I couldn’t do a SINGLE push up. Here I am, six months later, doing things that I never imagined I would be doing. Last year, you couldn’t have paid me enough money to do 200 burpees or sign up for an event like the Tough Mudder. The support and tools that MoM offers is unlike any program out there. Besides ever-changing, fun workouts, the trainers are available to offer nutritional advice and meet with you one on one to discuss goals. There is also the best support system in the world, “The Tribe” where other campers can share tips, recipes, and thoughts about living a healthy lifestyle. The minute you try one of Jodi’s classes, you will notice the passion she has for her clients’ success. MoM has helped me completely change my life. I am the happiest I have ever been. After having my daughter in May 2008 and gaining 70 pounds I was in a state of depression. I lost 30 pounds right after giving birth and had another 40 to loose. I didn’t think I could loose the weight and had given up. However in 2010 I decided that I couldn’t stand looking at myself and was tired of not fitting into any of my clothes. I signed up for a weight loss program and was successful in loosing 20 lbs. However i hit a plateau and started gaining some of the weight back. I felt that I was wasting my money with this program and decided join a fitness program. While in this program I was unsuccessful in losing weight but did feel i was getting stronger, yet still not happy with myself. I then found Millions Of Muscles (M.O.M) online and made the decision to give it one last try at getting back to feeling good.
From the moment I joined the M.O.M Family in September 2011 I felt instantly accepted. I began working out and taking Zumba classes regularly. With M.O.M you are given nutrition advice, moral support and constant encouragement.
I have since lost 19 pounds and over 6% body fat. I still have more to go but feel with what I have learned from M.O.M is enough for me to keep living a healthy and fit lifestyle and NEVER go back to the way I was……In May 2012 I moved to Cape Cod and come back every week just to get my fix of Bootcamp. I am honestly lost without the M.O.M. Family as part of my daily routine. I can never thank them enough for what they have done for me and giving me the confidence to feel beautiful again….I AM Living a M.O.M. lifestyle - Meredith Lacerda July, 2012

I originally joined the Millions of Muscles summer boot camp this summer to get into shape before my wedding in August. I figured that I could get a great workout, but what I discovered was something much more, almost 6 months later here I am, loyally devoted to the M.O.M. family!
Growing up, I was an avid athlete, always busy playing tennis, ski racing and dancing 4-5 days a week. When I entered college and no longer had time for these activities I gained lots of weight and was no longer happy with my body but most of all, my energy level and how I felt was at an all time low.
A few years ago I vowed to get myself back to the athlete I once was and I began the slow journey of going to the gym and living a healthier lifestyle. It was a slow process but I began to shed the unwanted pounds. Before long I hit a plateau and even though I was still working hard I wasn’t seeing the same results. This is when I heard about Millions of Muscles and I joined the beach boot camp with my fiancé. The results were almost immediate, I began to feel stronger, more energized and the pounds started coming off again.

M.O.M. is unlike any other program out there, not only do you get fantastic and (always changing) workouts but you get the benefit of a fitness family to encourage you, share fun tips with and stay on track. The trainers are always available to answer any questions and help you with any hurtle you are looking to overcome. I no longer spend needless time in the gym running on treadmills bored with my workouts. I know that every time I go to a class, I will get a completely new and unique workout, always challenging and improving my body in new ways.
I have gotten compliments from people I haven’t seen in a while saying how great I look but my body isn’t really what’s important. It’s the energy and confidence you get from living a healthy and active lifestyle. If you’re looking to challenge yourself, turn your life around or just continue living a happy and healthy life, then I can guarantee Millions of Muscles is the place for you. Come join us!!

If you asked me last year at this time if I would be doing a scavenger hunt at the mall on a Saturday at 6am, or if I would be running up and down the 40 steps in Nahant 25 times on a Sunday at 8am I would have laughed in your face.
Since joining MoM I have never felt better. I have more energy, and am doing things I never dreamed I could do. I love how there is no judging, and every person at boot camp really cares about one another. From my very first class, I always felt welcomed. After class is over the support I get from the trainers, and my fellow boot camper’s is like no other. Jodi, Sean and Dominique are always there via email, face book, or text to answer any questions I have or to push me in the right direction.

I am not just a “number” like at a gym, everyone knows your name, your story, and if you are missing from class one day (which I never want to be) you are getting a “where were you, are you ok” message. I have never felt like I belonged somewhere in a fitness group, and I have joined many other programs. MoM has made me feel like I belong. So far since I started in September I have lost weight, inches, and have gained more confidence in myself. I am so thankful I found MoM because not only do I feel good, and am healthier but the people I have met along the way really keep me going. If I ever feel like giving up I just remember how much I hated the way I felt before the program and that drive keeps me going.
MoM is different from any other program because Jodi, Sean and Dom take the time to make the classes “new”. How many times can you do the same workout over and over again? Well in this program, you always feel like you are doing something different. They keep it exciting and fresh. MoM has made me into a stronger, confident, happier, and healthier person and without it I would not be fully “living” my life. - Jaclyn Capobianco, November 2011.

What an amazing experience it has been so far! Donnette and Dominique have been terrific. I absolutely love the 5:30am in Revere! I have lost 11.8 lbs and 7 inches since I started. I already feel stronger! You have created something truly wonderful and should be proud of it every minute. I have a long way to go (almost 12 lbs down, 63 more to tackle) but in my long struggle (starting at age 12 you name it, I have done it; from diet plans to shakes to the cottage cheese diet to gastric bypass surgery), I have never found a group so supportive or an exercise I have actually liked before. I learned that I can do a SIT-UP (almost a 1000 done for the challenge)! Amazing!!!
I have done what I can to spread the word about my experience and hope that some of my friends, co-workers, and acquaintances will want to see what is all about. I want this so that they can experience M.o.M – Jamie Hoover, August 2012
“I just want to say Thank you!! I have gained soo much confidence in myself and never been so motivated to work out until I met you!” - Sandra Ocampo
“ I lost 11lbs!!! THANK YOU JODI!!!!!!! I’m down 11lbs from June. That’s 4 lbs less than my smallest in July 2010. Thank you Millions of Muscles, Beach Boot Camp! Imagine how many more I could lose if I skipped the work candy jar! OH it’s on!!!” - Shayna Dorfman
”Having boot camp withdrawals! Not good!”- Alex Kelly
“Thanks Jodi!! Boot camp was amazing!!! I reached my goal while having a great time!!! So grateful to you and Angela for the opportunity!!!”- Tara Woods
An interview with Kristina Fay, Bootcamper:
Losing weight has always been a challenge for me. For the past 6-7 years I have spent so much time working out but never really saw results. I took over 7 classes a week but nothing ever happened. Now that I joined MoM I’ve realized that my eating habits had a lot to do with it! I never thought what I ate was bad or unhealthy but a lot of it was. I’m glad that now I have others who suggest different foods and recipes to help me eat healthier foods.
What has been your biggest improvement since joining MoM?
My eating habits definitely. I’ve been more open to try new foods and learned I like different things.
Describe your results so far..and what you know you will achieve by staying with MoM.
So far I’ve lost 10 pounds and some body fat which I’m happy with. I’m glad that I can lose the weight, it’s just a matter of changing eating habits and adding the strength training so now that I’m on that path, I expect to be very happy with my results in months to come!!” – Kristina Fay, November 2011.
Millions of Muscle Bootcamp isn’t a temporary fix-it’s a lifestyle. My first bootcamp experience took place on the beach, in the dead heat of July. My sister and mother had been raving about being apart of the M.O.M. tribe, so I wanted to give it a try. I got to the beach and before the session even started I began to feel a pit in my stomach. I hadn’t been physically active in over a year. Last year I had paid over $1500 for twenty-four sessions with a personal trainer at ____ gym; after six sessions, I began to have knee pain, and found out after multiple X-rays and MRI’s that I had a stress fracture. Needless to say, my sessions(and fitness) went down the drain as I was forced to completely rest my knee. I knew things were going to be uphill once the session’s warm up was started-I couldn’t even finish it! And after two minutes of intense cardio exercises, I was done. Sitting there gasping for air, I thought to myself, “How am I EVER going to get through a session without dying from the burning pain in my lungs?”
I got the motivation to stick with the program because A) It was already charged to my credit card B) I couldn’t fit into any of my jeans. Literally. C) I wanted to win an IPad!
The beginning was tough. There were people working out that were so much stronger, faster, and healthier than I was. For most of the circuits I would finish last. But every day got a little easier. Soon, I was able to complete all of the exercises in a session without modifications. I found myself wanting to eat better, because when I ate healthy before working out I was able to perform better. The better I performed the more motivation I had to keep pushing myself. And here I am, almost twenty pounds lighter.
The best parts about M.O.M., though, are not about what you lose; it’s about what you gain. Since joining M.O.M., I’ve gained so much knowledge about healthy living-from food to exercise to balancing everything in between. M.O.M. trainers truly care about your success, and every group member gives you encouragement and motivation to push yourself. I’ve gained knowledge and tools for healthy living from trainers, strong friendships from team members, and a rejuvenated confidence and acceptance of who I am, inside and out. I have nothing but praise and gratefulness for everyone involved in Millions of Muscles Fitness. Thank you for making me realize I am stronger than I ever imagined. - Abigail Shaughnessy, November 2011.
I am 34 yrs old and ever since I can remember it, I have struggled with my weight and with body image issues. I was able to lose a few pounds here and there, then I would gain it all back and frustration would set in…It was a vicious cycle. Finally, last summer I stared looking for a personal trainer in the Revere area and came across MOM. I was thrilled to know that Jodi’s son and my son went to school together; I was immediately more comfortable about sharing my “fears” of fad diets and useless gym memberships with a mom like myself. I hit jackpot! I actually look forward to working out! She keeps me on my toes by never going more than a day or two without communicating through emails or phone calls. MOM is truly one big family where everybody takes care of each other. Jodi keeps us motivated by doing contests, challenges, facebook posts and always checking on us campers! I have never belonged to a gym before, where I can work out, have fun, get my a** kicked, cry in pain and shout for joy all in one bootcamp session! This is what MOM is for me, I love it! When campers don’t get to see each other for some reason (holidays, vacation or something else), we like to joke and say we have “bootcamp withdraw”, we miss it so much! I’m so happy to have found MOM. I have been able to lose 8 plus lbs in 6 weeks and have gone down 2 dress sizes all by just having a great time working out with friends! I have a long way to go before I reach my goal weight, but I know I’m not alone! I have an awesome trainer who makes it fun to workout and a network of friends who cheer on, support and ALWAYS are so eager to share yummy and nutritious recipes and tips with each other! MOM has truly made me better person and a very “happy camper”, no punt intended! -Alex Curty, November 2011.
Today is 11/11 – it has been exactly 2 months since my 5 year old nephew passed away from cancer – and it has been 2 months and 1 day since I met Jodi & Sean from Millions of Muscles. They had a fundraiser to help with the cost of the funeral expenses one day before RJ passed. I feel this was his way of putting me together with these two great people. They are helping me change my life one day at a time and are helping me both physically and emotionally. The bootcamps that I attend have a family flair to them and I am hoping to be a part of this family for a very long time. – Joyce Horgan, November 2011.
Hi, my name is Maryann and I am 56 years old. I have been a member of MOM since May of this year. I have been on more diets than I can count and have joined many different gyms. I have had hired personal trainers; basically I have tried everything to lose weight. It was always difficult; so much work with little results. I have even lost muscle mass because of all the different extremes I have done to lose weight. I have been shockingly surprised with MOM; not only have I lost weight and a lot of inches this is the best I have felt about myself in a long time. I have even gotten back my flexibility. I can almost get down all the way without any pain. I feel young and strong of mind and body. This was the best thing I could have done for myself. Jodi and Shawn are great and you can tell they really care about you and your goals. They work you hard, trying new things you could never imagine, but encourage you along the way. They make you want to succeed and they push you further than you ever thought you could go. I am very happy about my results and can only thank them after every work out. So for me personally, I could not be any more ecstatic with their program and cannot wait to see the next results in my transformation. - Maryann Giorgio, November 2011.

Jodi Reath is a miracle worker! I came to her after months of trying to lose weight with no success. I was trying to fit into my wedding dress and I decided to get a personal trainer when on top of that my doctor told me I should lose a little weight to be in a healthier range. Jodi’s workouts were intense but they energized me to want to do more outside of our time together.
When I still wasn’t really losing weight from the increased exercise after several weeks, Jodi worked with me on re-evaluating my nutrition. Her tips were life-changing! I ended up losing 13 pounds in my 3 months with her.
I felt amazing on my wedding day and in my new bathing suit on the honeymoon. Jodi’s workout plans were always creative and targeted and her lifestyle advice was always doable.
Everything she taught me has been sustainable past my 3 months of training and I’m still eating healthily post-wedding. She kept me motivated and focused and I can’t thank her enough! – Sarah Prager
An Interview with Beth Davis, Bootcamper:
Talk about the problem or challenge you faced before coming to Millions of Muscles:
I wanted to get in shape for my upcoming wedding, but dragging myself to the gym, BY MYSELF just wasn’t doing it for me. I had no motivation to go to the gym and do the same workouts in the group classes, or try to figure out how to do the best workout on my own. I LOVE that the workouts are different everyday which keeps it interesting. I think my favorite part about this program is being able to see how much stronger I am getting as the weeks progress. We did an exercise in Week 1 of the program that I struggled through. I mean, embarrassingly struggled through. We repeated this same exercise 3 weeks later and it was a breeze. I couldn’t believe how much stronger I had become in just 3 weeks. The confidence I’ve built up in myself and my improved overall strength and wellbeing is just amazing. One of the best feelings in the world.
What have you learned about yourself since starting?
I really can do it! I’ve always told myself I’ll never be a runner. People kept telling me that if I worked at it a little bit each week, it would get easier and it wouldn’t be so bad. I tried to start running in the past, but just couldn’t stay motivated to stick with it. MoM changed me with respect to running. Granted, we just run for a warm up each day, but I’ve used the warm up and a few runs on the side to improve my strength and endurance to really be a runner. I can do 2 miles without feeling like I will collapse or my legs are going to fall off. It feels great to know that I really could do it all along; I just needed the support and the right tools to do it.
Beth; Lost 2 sizes in 7 weeks
Adam; On his first workout with M.O.M.
Tara; Lost 9 lbs and 2 inches

Before the Millions of Muscles boot camp I worked out occasionally, but never found anything that kept my interest or had the results I wanted. Well, I’m on my second month of boot camp and looking forward to month number 3 with Jodi. I feel better, look better and have a new outlook on exercising!! Thank you for motivating me with your positive spirit, your humor, and your encouragement. – Tara Casaletto
My name is Diana I joined Millions of Muscles in May 2011. I have struggled with my weight since college and it’s been an up and down battle for the past seven years.. I have joined and re-joined Weight Watchers many times but I have found that eating healthy is not good enough for me.. I need the workouts.. But I’m not consistent on my own.. I don’t like gyms, I get bored quickly and if I don’t see results on the scale I give up after a couple of weeks.. This past year my husband and I decided we were going to get healthy together.. Mainly because we want to start a family and we want my pregnancy to be a healthy one. We realized that the decisions we make now before we get pregnant will have a huge impact on our baby’s health during my pregnancy and after the baby is born. This time I’m more determined than ever to lose the extra weight and to push myself to be healthy. I have a wonderful supporting husband and together we joined the Millions of Muscle Beach Boot Camp this past May. Together we have seen and felt the results. I have more strength and more resistance than I’ve had in years. I’m now on my second month so about seven weeks and I’m still excited about going.
Each workout is unique and Jodi pushes me to go further do more repetitions or run a little faster. She motivates me and even when it’s cold or raining my husband and I still go. I have never worked out in the rain but it’s amazing how good it feels to just get over all those little obstacles in your head and just do it. My husband I look forward to each workout and when it’s over we feel great it’s really a very rewarding experience it’s just you and the beach… Jodi Reath is a wonderful trainer full of surprises and motivation, she herself is a mom of two and she looks great. I want to look and feel great but most of all I want to be a healthy for me, my husband and our future children. I don’t want my children to ever struggle with weight it’s too painful physically and emotionally I want them to be healthy and happy always!
Thank you Millions of Muscles for inspiring me to get out and move!!!! – Diana Sosa
There is something quite unique about working out on a beach…the view, the cool breeze off the water, the FULL body workout you get from exercising on soft sand! I’ve participated in boot camps before, but never one that took place on a beach. You work every single muscle when exercising on the sand and it makes each movement really count! Everything from a jumping jack to a burpee to a sprint feels so much more intense on the beach. This is no wimpy boot camp where you can get away with selling yourself short. Even if you are using the modifications that Jodi demonstrates, you are still going full out giving it your 100% effort. If you are a beginner, an intermediate, or an athlete, you will get a great workout! – Pauline Nee
Jodi makes bootcamp so much fun and something to look forward to rather than something you dread. She keeps every session very interesting by always changing up the exercises and using body weight in addition to dumbbells and kettlebells. She has the best attitude and does a great job motivating everyone individually and as a group. She truly cares about everyone getting results and is there to help and answer any questions you may have. In addition you get to have your hour long work out on the beach and not in a hot gym. After only a month of bootcamp, I know feel much stronger and already seeing results. Thank you Jodi, you are the best!!! – Gina, June 2011
This is my second bootcamp class with Jodi and can’t praise her enough on her training and allowing me to push further than i normally would. I would recommend her training and tenacity to help to anyone. Keep up the good work Jodi!! – Diana, June 2011
Jodi is a terrific trainer, I find her exercise classes to be entertaining and most important very effective, I gained not only physical strength but I got also mentally prepared to achieve my fitness goals. Thanks Jodi you are a Ranger!!! – Jazmin, May 2011
As a mother of 2, time is of the essence. Jodi has taught me how to make the most of my workouts. I feel better and look better and knowing that she is waiting for me gives me the push to get myself out the door. Thank you Jodi for making “me” count. - Ana, May 2011
Beach boot camp is so much fun. Every session is different and we incorporated weights, dumbbells, kettlebells, and games to change it up. You’re outside getting a great work out and fresh air, and not stuck inside of a gym looking at the back of someone else’s head on the machine in front of you. I actually look forward to boot camp every time. Now I can do more reps than when I started and I don’t get so easily out of breath anymore! I would highly recommend this to anyone at any level of fitness! Thanks Jodi! – Amy, May 2011
Jodi really cares about helping you transform your body while having fun doing it! Being on the beach is a fantastic venue which adds that extra bit of resistance to your workout. Exercising in a group gives you that added push you might not get on your own. Every routine is different, using weights, ladders, resistance tubes, and your own body weight to mix it up for a total body work out. If you are trying to get yourself back in shape this is a fun way to get motivated. - Larissa, May 2011.
I really needed a little boost in my work out and had not had a routine in a while but through the Bootcamp with Jodi. I’ve gotten great tips on what exercises work which muscles, what to eat and really fun ways to do it all. The best part about it is that Jodi lets you work on your pace help cater the routine the group. I had a great time with Bootcamp and Jodi ROCKS!!! Plus I can do more push-ups now than I think I have ever been able to do. – Irene Stefanakos, Boston Indoor Boot Camp Program; March 2011.
“Just got a new bathing suit for my honeymoon. All I can say is THANK YOU, JODI!” – Sarah Prager, Boston Indoor Boot Camp Program; March 2011.
Since taking Millions of Muscles Boot Camp, I have noticed better muscle definition in my arms and legs. I feel stronger and have much more endurance. It is easy to use and fun! I love when people say, ‘Wow! How do you stay so thin? I used to go to the gym, but after having a baby I don’t have the time. Boot Camp lets me get my full workout in without taking up my entire day. Thank you Millions of Muscles! - Laura, Boston Indoor Boot Camp Program; March 2011.
